The Functional areas of the LC Linz


The Local-Comiteé exists of five Maingroups:


 

1.Communication: (Comm)

 

The Communication Team (Comm.) is split into internal and external communication. The main focus is increasing the popularity of AIESEC among the students of JKU, companies as well as in our society. Thus, building up cooperations with different media-partners as well as a proper branding and communication of AIESEC are essential. In addition to this, the team provides IS-tools for storing and sharing information in order to enable a sustainable work in the Local Committe (LC). Moreover, the team members give trainings on using myAIESEC.net, Wiki, Blogs etc..

2.Finance: (FI)

 

The financial system is strongly embedded in the organization as a regulatory body that is responsible not only for controlling in financial means but consciously providing the financial frame for the plans and strategies of the organization. By implication the Finance Team has to be in very close, complete and prosperous cooperation with Local Committee President (LCP) and every team, to be able to enable to execute the organizational strategies and plans as well as to support improvement and sustainable progress.

3.External Relations: (ER)


The members of this area get in contact with companies and try to raise partnerships with them. This team is responsible to sell internships here in Linz and in addition to this to win them as a learning partners or sponsors of the organization. Furthermore, they are managing the accounts of the companies with our Customer Relationship Tools after selling our products. This team is also working closely together with the Exchange team in terms of finding suitable people for the internships we offer here in Linz. They manage the Traineeship Nominee (TN) and get in contact with the Exchange Participant (EP) manager in order to fix the contract with these people.

4.Talent Management: (TM)

 

The role of the Talent Management (TM) team is to guarantee that all the processes in the organization are happening smoothly, contributing to the recruitment, development and retention of the people identified as talents. Moreover, the team is responsible for the learning and development of all members in the Local Committee (LC). Some tasks are recruitment and selection, allocation, training and preparing members for future task and responsibilities. The team needs to offer to the members in the organization skills to develop their competencies and maintain them in organization.

5.Exchange Team: (ICX)(OGX)

 

The Exchange Team is divided into Incoming (ICX) and Outgoing (OGX) Exchange. In addition to providing our members who are going on exchange with the necessary information and preparation, they are also responsible for promoting interesting internships abroad in our weekly Local Committee Meeting (LCM). Furthermore, this team is supporting interns in Linz in order to guarantee a great experience for them.

Discovery:

The Discovery Career Fair is the biggest student run fair in Upper Austria that presents a unique chance for students to get in touch with over 60 companies and can gain insight into the professional enviroment of the companies by attending numerous company workshops in the course of the Fair. Vice versa for companies to target students as future human capital and get in touch with university body each year.
